Re-employment Assistance Program

Thousands of hard-working men and women across Ventura County are underemployed or unemployed. Current economic times and the cost of living provide large barriers to those trying to better their employment situation and thus decrease their dependence on social services.

For over a decade, Lutheran Social Services has provided a robust Re-Employment Assistance Program (REAP), centered on three offerings: First, employment readiness: helping clients with life skills/coaching that get in the way of finding and holding a job, resume preparation, interview assistance and clothing, and bus fare to get to interviews. Second, employment referral: partnering with job training programs and job placement resources.  Third, employment retention: ongoing coaching and mentoring.
