Homeless Outreach and Support

An estimated 100 people are homeless in the Conejo Valley alone. Some are the chronic homeless, some employed but living in cars, while some are in a time of temporary crisis. Each has a story, each a need for compassionate care. LSS’s walk-in services at our Thousand Oaks office (four mornings a week) provide vital assistance for the community’s homeless: a shower, washer and dryer, food, clothing and toiletries, mailing address, telephone message center, computer access, pastoral care, referrals, help with everyday problem solving, and nonjudgmental love.
