Caring Neighbors Minor Home Repair Program

Caring Neighbors, a program of LSS/SC, assists seniors and disabled persons to continue to live independently in their own homes.  All clients must meet HUD low income guidelines. This is accomplished through programs which provide minor home repair, yard work, escorted transportation and Shared Housing (matching seniors and disabled for housing needs).  Funding is primarily through Communite Development Block Grants (CDBG) and secondarily through individual , group, and organizational donations.  This service is currently offered in Chula Vista, Escondido and Santee (7/1/08).
