A Step Forward: Grateful for Community Partners Who Clothe and Care
At Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC), we believe that dignity begins with whole-person care. Sometimes, what may seem simple to one person can mean everything to someone else.
Recently, our team at the Santa Ana office found our clothing closet—an essential resource for clients experiencing homelessness or housing instability—was running critically low on shoes. Recognizing the urgency, our dedicated Case Manager Joann Pham took swift and thoughtful action.
Driven by compassion and a deep commitment to service, Joann connected with two remarkable organizations: Shoes for the Homeless and Clothing the Homeless. Both nonprofits responded generously, providing an abundance of much-needed items that will directly benefit the individuals and families we serve each day.
Through their contributions, our clients now have access to quality shoes and clothing—essentials that restore comfort, confidence, and dignity. These donations not only meet immediate physical needs but also uplift self-esteem and affirm our shared humanity.
We are profoundly grateful to Shoes for the Homeless and Clothing the Homeless for their partnership, and to Joann Pham for her initiative and heart for service. This collaboration is a testament to what can happen when community organizations work together to embrace, equip, and empower their neighbors by caring for the whole person.
At LSSSC, we are not only building programs—we are building pathways to hope. And with partners like these, each step forward becomes a little more possible.
