Dr. Beckwith’s Friday Inspiration For August 4th

Happy Friday, LSSSC Team!

As I speak to you on this sunny and bright first Friday of August, I am filled with immense gratitude for you and your collective brilliance to our organization. As Maya Angelou said, “The future is so bright, it hurts my eyes.” I am excited about our future and my unwavering belief that our team possesses the positive attitudes, resilience, and diligence needed to conquer any challenge that comes our way.

Today, more than ever, it is essential to remember the power of a positive attitude. Let us approach every obstacle with unwavering optimism, recognizing that within every challenging situation lies an opportunity waiting to be embraced. Our collective energy and enthusiasm will illuminate the path forward and inspire all who look on.

Remember, I have discussed having GRIT, diligence, and resilience. Well, today, remember that resilience is the backbone of success. And when we face storms, being resilient will make us stronger every time. Let us embrace the obstacles as stepping stones to greatness. In the face of adversity, let us stand firm, knowing that our unwavering determination will carry us through even the most challenging times.

Diligence is the fuel that will propel us forward. Each day, our commitment to excellence, striving to exceed expectations in all that we do and keeping at it, will ensure we still stand another 78 years. Remember, consistent effort and attention to detail sets us apart and lead us toward greatness.

And finally, GRIT. I encourage each of you to embody the spirit of GRIT – that rare combination of passion and perseverance that enables us to achieve the extraordinary. Let us embrace challenges, adapt fearlessly, and remain steadfast in our pursuit of excellence. We must have the courage to keep moving forward, one step at a time, even when the path seems daunting.

In moments of doubt, let us draw inspiration from the wisdom of my favorite book, the Bible. I hope these scriptures will inspire you and keep you moving forward toward your goals during your most challenging times:

1. Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” With faith and trust, we can overcome any obstacle in our way.

2. Joshua 1:9 – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” With God’s presence, we can face any challenge with confidence.

3. Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” As we surrender to divine guidance, our journey becomes more apparent.

I am excited about the future, and more than anything, I am thrilled with you on the LSSSC team. Together, as a unified force, we will march towards a brighter future than we can imagine. Remember that our potential is limitless when we have faith, determination, and unity. I am incredibly proud to lead such a remarkable team and excited about the possibilities. Let us continue to shine as a beacon of excellence, and together, we will achieve greatness.

Happy Friday blessings!

Ambassadors are short-term volunteers who open doors for our organization in the community, introducing new people at our bi-monthly Fostering Community Care event. These are one hour awareness events only (no solicitations are made) to expose people to the great work of LSS Community Care. To become an Ambassador here are your responsibilities:
  1. 1 – Attend at least one Fostering Community Care event during the calendar year
  2. 2 – Host or invite and bring 10-15 guests to one Fostering Community Care event within 3 months of your attending one yourself.
  3. 3 – Inform your invited guests of what the Fostering Community Care meeting will be about, and let them know that they will receive a follow up call from the organization
  4. 4 – Ambassadors will complete their commitment after bringing 10-15 persons within the 3 month time period. An Ambassador has the option to complete after one term, continue for another 3 month term or move into another role on the team.
