Happy Friday, Team!
What a great day it is to be alive! I know it’s easy to fall into a rut, and perhaps reading my weekly emails can fall into the category of “it’s just another one of those…” but I hope not. I look forward to speaking to the entire organization at least once a week. Sharing something uplifting is my desire.
As I speak to you this week, I do with optimism, envisioning the future of LSSSC. Last month I celebrated my third year with this organization, and as I look back over the previous three years, I cannot help but be proud of what we have accomplished together. I remember my first week; we were locked down due to COVID. However, when I visited the office in Fullerton, I did so with a heart full of joy and my 100-day plan of things I would tackle within that timeframe. I remember praying that God would guide my decisions and actions. I recall reading everything I could find about LSSSC because I was excited.
There is a plethora of memories that takes me back to that first year. Today, I am excited about our vision, mission, and values. But my vision for LSSSC is more significant than ever. I believe that goals should be so huge that when we achieve them, everyone knows it must be God. That’s why our goal of creating Wellness Campuses throughout Southern California fuels me. Introducing the LSSSC magazine and now the children’s coloring book warms my heart, and watching new opportunities for LSSSC open to us, makes me giddy.
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish….” The Message Bible reads, “If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.”
My life scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, “1 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I am convinced that LSSSC has always been God’s plan for you and me. I want our organization to be one where you feel valued, challenged, and able to realize your dreams. May His plans for you prosper, and may you have success.
