Happy Friday Team!
I pray your week has been delightful, and as we come to another Friday, I hope you feel your body begin to relax. I don’t know where you live, but I hope you have enjoyed some cooler temperatures wherever you are.
I have been a summer girl almost my entire life. I used to love heat and warm places. However, as I have matured, I love the fall weather. So, I want you to enjoy life whether you love the hot or the cold.
As I was out on my early morning run, I could feel the mist in the air. It was lovely! Occasionally, I found myself lifting my hands to the sky and thanking God for the feel of the mist and the coolness of the morning. Even now, I find myself continuing to reflect on earlier this morning. It is moments like these that cause me to consider my smallness in the presence of God introspectively. As much as I am self-reliant, independent, and confident, I don’t want ever to become so arrogant to miss that I need Him. Therefore, I want to acknowledge and thank Him in all circumstances.
So, I. turn your attention to The Word of God that says, “Give thanks in all things” 1 Thessalonians 5:18. I heard someone say, “The scripture does not say, give thanks for all things. But it says, give thanks in all things.” I thought about that for a while and concluded this: We have ups and downs in life. We have victories and defeats. However, as Believers, we must trust God in every situation regardless of what we face.
I don’t know about you, but when I note my life, I see the good outweighs the bad. I count my blessings as I reflect on how God has redeemed me and others from past troubles. How can I not be thankful? Some might say, “you don’t understand what I have gone through.” True, but I know what I have faced throughout my life. The most unfortunate events of life have taught me valuable lessons. I am even more grateful for God’s mercy and grace. I pray you have experienced the same. This Friday, may the love and peace of Christ be with you.
