Happy Friday, Team, and greetings to all!
We’re at the end of another week, and I am grateful we have made it to another Friday. I pray you have experienced a wonderful week that was fun and fulfilling. I know you love your work, and some of the stories I hear about you warm my heart.
As you prepare for the weekend, I hope you enter it with a happy attitude. What I hope for most is that when you return on Monday, you return refreshed and with an attitude of positivity and enthusiasm. I don’t know how anyone can work for an organization like this one and not be positive, upbeat, and always looking to what God will do next. Some of the things I have seen Him do, get me pumped up!
Yet, I am sure you have worked with people who cannot help but be pessimistic. Some will say, “I am not a pessimist; I am a realist.” Okay. But there is a fine line between the two, and I pray daily that God will show us when we are nearing that line. Here’s something I want you to consider: pessimistic people typically look at the world negatively, while being a realist is more about truth and objectivity. Realists do not automatically see the world as negative.
I don’t know if you are a pessimist; only you know how you approach your life and work. But if you are a Believer, consider this if and when you find yourself moving towards the pessimistic side: Philippians 4:8-9 – “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Have a wonderful weekend!
